Nominations for the Barts Health Heroes Awards
Each year nominations close on 30 September. The nomination year runs from 1 October to 30 September and you can nominate all year round. Please complete the form, in which you will be asked to let us know in up to 250 words why they deserve an award. You can nominate in two categories:
If you know or work with a team who consistently demonstrates the Barts Health values, nominate them for a team award. Nominations can be made by a member of the team or by someone who knows of their work and the contribution they make.
If you’ve met a member of staff, or one of our volunteers, who consistently demonstrates the Barts Health values, nominate them for an individual award. Please note that you cannot nominate yourself.

Guidelines for submitting a nomination
Nominations can be made online or telephone the Corporate Events Team for a form on 020 7377 7346.
- All nominators remain anonymous – the colleagues you nominate will not know who has nominated them.
- A nominated team can be based in one part of the Trust’s hospitals or have members from different departments and specialties across Barts Health.
- Only one team or individual can be nominated per submission
- Anyone who has had contact with Barts Health (for example patients, patient relatives, carers, staff) can submit a nomination.
Barts Health Heroes Awards Ceremony
All entries are judged by a panel of staff, patients and partners after the close of nominations. Shortlisted teams and individuals will be invited to the Barts Health Heroes Awards Ceremony on the evening of Wednesday 22 February 2017. All winners will be announced at the ceremony. Winning individuals receive £500 and winning teams receive £1000.
Every nominee will receive a certificate and an invitation to a lunch hosted by the Chair of Barts Health.
